According to ESPN, here is a list of the top 10 coaches in the league.

1. Bill Belichick, New England

2. Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh

3. Andy Reid, Philadelphia

4. Mike McCarthy, Green Bay

5. Sean Peyton, New Orleans

6. Tom Coughlin, New York Giants (I disagree)

7. Rex Ryan, New York Jets

8. Lovie Smith, Chicago

9. Mike Smith, Altanta

10. M. Shanahan, Washington (You have to be joking)

10. John Harbaugh, Baltimore

How you can rank Shanahan in the top 10 is amazing to me. The Mike Shanahan of the Washington Redskins is NOT the same coach as that of the Denver Broncos. By listing him the list lost all value.

There is no doubt that Belichick should be considered the best coach in the league. Tomlin is an easy number 2 because of the success he's had with the Steelers thus far. Andy Reid has done great things in Philly and the Vick move was amazing. Coughlin has done nothing more than let his team fall apart every since his best receiver shot HIMSELF in the leg and went to jail. Rex is a better defensive coordinator in my eyes and the Jets are contenders but he should be knocked down a few pegs.
